South Korean boy band JYJ's arrival in Lima caused the gathering of hundreds of fans who tried to spot their idols. From Peru to India, not forgetting Asia and Europe, the South Korean wave is still flooding continents.
Those singers whose looks are meticulously calibrated by South Korean agencies had conquered Asia since the end of 90s.

Lately, entertainement agencies are trying to advance into other continents, including South America, where K-pop (South Korean Pop Music) fans cover the choreography of their favourite bands, or beg them to come to their country, on hundreds of Youtube video

The trio JYJ performed in Chile and Peru in March during a tour where they also went in Berlin and Barcelona.
June Oh, the spokeswoman of C-JeS, the band's agency, said that hundreds of youngster camped for several nights in Santiago and Lima to be close from the singers, who came for the first time in this area.

Audience was smaller than in Asia - 5,000 to 6,000, against dozens of thousands in Korea and Japan- but "we were flabbergasted to see those hundreds of tents lined up in from of the Explanada Sur del Estadio Monumental", the venue in Lima where the band performed, she added.

JYJ, born from the split of another boys band, TVXQ, released an album in english in collaboration with american rap star Kanye West. As the origin of the phenomenon, the agencie's will to seek somewhere else something to feed their sales number, who has been touched in South Korea by the decrease of CD sales and free download, in this country who is one of the most connected in the world (T/N : to Internet).

And K-pop appeals to people a priori very far from Korea. When separatists from Manipur, a secluded state from North-Eastern India, forbade the broadcast of movies in hindi language a dozen of years ago, they opened, not on purpose, the doors for soap-opera and ephebe singers from South korea.
But it's still in Asia that there are the most of fans. In Japan, 7,000 winners of a lottery will go to Seoul at the end of June using 116 flights, to attend "JYJ membership week". They will join 15,000 passionated Korean fans.
For this event, not less than 3,500 hotel rooms has been booked, and around 250 bus has been reserved, according to a representative of C-JeS.
